    Overview
    This five-day intensive course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to audit an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and to manage a team of auditors by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques. During this training, the participant will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to proficiently plan and perform internal and external audits in compliance with ISO 19011 the certification process according to ISO 1702.Based on practical exercises, the participant will develop the skills (mastering audit techniques) and competencies (managing audit teams and audit program, communicating with customers, conflict resolution, etc.) necessary to efficiently conduct an audit.

    Overview
    This five-day intensive course enables participants to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization in implementing and managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001:2005. Participants will also gain a thorough understanding of best practices used to implement information security controls from all areas of ISO 27002. This training is consistent with the project management practices established in ISO 10006 (Quality Management Systems – Guidelines for Quality Management in Projects). This training is also fully compatible with ISO 27003 (Guidelines for the Implementation of an ISMS), ISO 27004 (Measurement of Information Security) and ISO 27005 (Risk Management in Information Security).

    Day 1: Introduction to Information Security Management System (ISMS) concepts as required by ISO 27001; Initiating an ISMS

    • Introduction to management systems and the process approach

    • Fundamental principles of Information Security
    • Preliminary analysis and establishment of the level of the maturity level of an existing information security management system based on ISO 21827
    • Writing a business case and a project plan for the implementation of an ISMS

    Day 2: Planning the implementation of an ISMS based on ISO 27001

    • Defining the scope of an ISMS
    • Development of an ISMS and information security policies
    • Selection of the approach and methodology for risk assessment
    • Risk management: identification, analysis and treatment of risk (drawing on guidance from ISO 27005)
    • Drafting the Statement of Applicability

    Day 3: Implementing an ISMS based on ISO 27001

    Overview
    The ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Certification validates your knowledge of the contents and requirements of the standard and is required prior to obtaining the ISO/IEC 20000 Practitioner Certification. In this course, you gain the skills to take the ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Certification exam given on the final day of class.

    Those who want to achieve ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Certification. This course is particularly valuable for employees within organizations already ISO/IEC 20000 certified or those considering certification. The ITIL Foundation Certificate is strongly recommended.

    Course Overview
    This course is relevant for professionals who play a role in establishing the ISO/IEC 20000 standard. This course is designed for IT professionals, consultants who play a role in the ISO 20000 implementation or in providing support around ISO 20000 certification. Practical examples and real life case studies are used to guide you through the implementation route and prepare you to conduct a ISO 20000 assessment or audit. At the end of the three-day classroom training, the APMG certification exam, which is a 3 part exam, can be taken. This training does not cover audit techniques or the issues involved in preparing an organization for an audit.
    The certificate is awarded to candidates passing the relevant examination, which can only be taken as part of an accredited training course. The course covers the interpretation and application of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard. The one hour examination has two parts, 25 questions multiple choice and written examination.

    Pre-Requisites

    Candidate must hold the ITIL Foundations certificate, and be either an IT practitioner or  manager with at least five years’ general IT experience and at least three year’s experience in an IT Service Management environment.
